This is my fat and fluffy quilt.....it's really an essential thing to have during the bitter winter...despite the myth and legend, fats DOES NOT REALLY keep you warm..Yea there you have it..anyother myth dismissed...
my moving bunny which is the apple of my eye and i hug it to sleep everyday...and the GOSSIP MAGAZINE i can borrow in the library...they allow 20 books or dvds or cds or in combination...and the membership is free!!! Totally cool right..unlike in singapore they charge us for dvds and cds and they only allow 4 books per card ( unless you upgrade with some money to 8 books per card).

this cool cool whale makes the sound that whale makes ( something like woooo woooo ) um it's not a ghost....but like go borrow some videos about whale and you'll know what i mean.Anyway it's along the entrance of the museum ( which is free to go unlike in singapore...) so i when and took pictures..but that entry would be on the next one.....

our eating table but we don't ever eat there cept to store some advertisment we got from the mailbox..we normally eat at the coffee table in front of the tv....i'm a total tv junkie and have reserve a "LILIN SEAT" which is the best seat that is right in front of the tv and allow me to stretch my leg totally....muahahahahhaha..that is like my prime seat.
my wardrobe.....i was really smart to move the chair to there cause there is just this huge empty space that i don't know what to do with it and i certainly don't want to put my stuff on the floor if not i hafta bend and pick them up.

the open concept kitchen....that is directly linked to the living room and all without any door.But despite that, there isn't any of the foul smell that you get when you cook at the kitchen cause there is like a wooshy woosh thingy on top to absorb that.....and we must switch on that if not the smoke alarm will be set off for like 5min which is irritating and loud and unstopable..

Well I’ve reached the land where kangaroos, koala bears, wombat, macadamia nut and nougats originated from.
Today is the 8th day in here and I’ve spent a bomb on the accodamation and food. The things here are so expensive that I think I want to get a job in here. Like a part time one. Firstly I got an apartment that cost both my friend and me $530/ week. Oddly it sounds, their rent goes by per week not like per month. So that means $530 divide by 2 and times 4 = $1060 per month. On the bright side, we rent out our parking lot to this old vibrant and friendly couple for $50/ month. So the $25 would help me a bit (well better than nothing isn’t it).And all these are without the cost of internet ( $60/month) and telephone line ($20/month) and electricity bills and gas bills.The water here are free ( I dunno why since they said they are under a water drought so all the more they should charge people for water right.)Anyway I would most probably be studying three days a week freeing up four days for work. But according to the immigration law in Australia I can only work 20 hr / week during school term and unlimited during school holidays. And I can only apply it after my school term starts and have to pay AU$60 for that.I did a bit of research and they pay like $18 to $25 per hour in here for normal work.OMGZ!! In singapore the most they pay you is like $9/hr which is considered a lot..the more average are $7/hr. Is that how they keep up with the high living cost?The vegetables here cost $3/bundle or so. So well to earn some money and kill time off my long week , I am more than determine to work. It should be fun to work here.Just hope I can find one soon enough.
Ok depressing stuff aside..Let me tell you more about my apartment (with colourful pictures and illustrations too ! ).I have my own room with a big wardrobe, my own toilet and a queen size bed.There is reverse air con in my room ( that means it can act as a heater cum air con as you wish) and they have really thick quilt which is very comfy during the winter.But I reckon I’ll suffer when the hot summer comes. It is really cool. This place is fully furnished so meaning it comes with a washing machine cum dryer , furnitures , kitchen and basically everything you need in a house.This place has facilities like pool table , gym room , movie room ,small swimming pool and a small spa.I vow to go to the gym three times a week cause I wanna milk all the facilities for it’s worth.Besides it is always my dream to workout in a dream.Don’t ask me why but I think it has something to do with it-seems-glamorous-to-jog-on-a-treadmill-than-outside. And it is quite near the city and my school ( walk takes about 20 min) so well I think it is worth it cause it is near the supermarket and shopping centers and I don’t need to spend money to buy a concession for bus.
Anyway I am still kinda lost around here and just starting to get used to here.At least I think I can kinda walk around myself in the area without really getting totally lost.Haha that is a big accomplishment on the account that I am really really really super bad at directions and places.
The tv programmes here are fairly nice but can get kinda boring after a while.Being watching bad neighbours ( where neighbours fight and someone with some sorta authority comes and stop it ) and crossing borders ( how the aussie authorities in the airport bust people who try to smuggle all kinda things that are prohibited to be be brought into Australia).Sometimes they show movies too.
The sun rises really early like 5.30 or 6.00 am and sets early like 6.00pm it will be totally dark already. The shops here closes at about 5pm which is really early. So If you wake up late in the morning, you find yourself not able to do anything or having a long night which is going to get really boring.The girls here are all so pretty,tall and slim and fair and the guys here are so cute.They are also polite as in they will say thank you to the bus driver whever they get off the bus.So sometimes I find myself doing that too.They are very environmentally friendly , there are posters asking you to use less plastic bags and they have a lot of products that are energy saving. In fact I see a lot of people buying those 99 cents shopping bag and using them as groceries bag everytime.The plastic bags here are really thin so if you put in too much stuff they just rip open ( maybe that’s to deter people from using them). But I love these concept and proudly I must say, I am an owner of a green shopping bag with effect from today.Muahahahah!!!
I have applied for my library card and they have lots of magazine that I like ( you noe all the gossip magazine and they have hello magazines too..but at selected places and not at the library that is walking distance from my place). But at least they have gossip magazines that are readable ,Australia vogues and all that. And you are allow to borrow music disc or dvds from them for free.And each card is entitled to 20 books or dvds or music disc.So I borrowed a lot of magazines and three dvd ( buffy the vampire slayer , about a boy and black adder).Anyway the dvds are locked up so you have to bring it to the counter to unlock it before you can get the disc out.I didn’t know that ( cause we don’t have that in Singapore ) and I was trying all sorts of way to open it up including the use of fork and sheer brute force..But all failed.So I brought it back to the library and ask them why.They look at me and give me the annoyed look ( for what? I don’t know..maybe it’s because I ignore the note about opening dvds in the checkout machine).And the library card they have is really cool ( refer to picture below).
Although it is really exiciting and all, I miss my friends and family… =( I wish there were here with me to experience all these…it would make the experience more meaningful…Sigh I shall continue tomorrow again….Good night
